About This Presentation:

The Quality Control and Test Branch (QCTB) at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in Atlanta, Georgia performs System and Software Testing activities for multiple embedded systems and Windows-based applications. The ever-expanding size and complexity of these systems, and their accompanying test procedures, has necessitated the migration from full manual testing to an automated testing paradigm. By making use of open source components such as AutoIt and Robot Framework, the Test Automation Framework (TAF) was developed to fulfill this automated testing capability within QCTB. This presentation covers the history, motivation, objectives, and strategy for the development of the TAF, as well as basic architecture, features, and usage of the framework.
