November 2017 General Meeting

Best Practices in Negotiations

Wednesday November 8th 2017 at 6PM

Featuring Reo Oravec

(location details provided below Eventbrite link)

About The Presentation:

In our current challenging IT environment with strained resources, rapid delivery schedules and dynamic team structures, negotiation is required in nearly every step of a project. This includes product launch, scrums and milestone setting.

Personal and group negotiations are called for and the best practices for both are covered in this mini- workshop session. Material from the new version of the Negotiation Body of Knowledge “NBOK” will be covered and put into practice. We will review expanding individual negotiation skills and techniques, along with an interactive project team centric scenario.

Advance your negotiation ability to a whole new level with workbooks, tips and techniques sheets, and outlines from the “NBOK” as you participate in negotiation sessions tailored to software quality projects.

About The Presentor:

Reo is also certified in negotiating and strategic planning, and attended Harvard Law School, the University of Oxford and the Sloan school of business at MIT. He holds a certification in project management from Stanford University, and draws on all his associations and experiences for the material in this workshop and his “Best Practices Guild-Book Series” in which the “NBOK” has used as foundational content. In his over 25 years in IT Reo has negotiated millions of dollars of contracts with F100 companies for the EU division of Anderson Consulting, Tens of Millions in Merger and Acquisition and project contracts as a CIO of a Dot-Com.
