The purpose of the
Atlanta SPIN is to provide a forum for the free and open
exchange of software process improvement experiences and
ideas.
Meetings are open to all individuals, companies, universities,
and government organizations who have an interest in software
quality, maturity, and process improvement.
Our Goal is to enhance our membership's knowledge and
skills through an active program of networking, publication,
local and national speakers, recognition of excellence, and
mutual support.
About SPIN:
The Software Process Improvement Network is comprised of
individuals who want to improve software engineering practice.
The individuals are organized into regional groups called
"SPINs" that meet and share their experiences
initiating and sustaining software process improvement
programs. They meet annually at the Software Engineering
Process Group (SEPG) Conference, which is co-sponsored by the
SEI and a regional SPIN. Atlanta SPIN has sponsored and helped
organize 1999 SPEG Conference, which was held here in Atlanta.
Atlanta SPIN was formed on April 8th, 1998 by volunteers and
have organized many monthly events every year since then.
Membership in the Atlanta SPIN is free for individuals and all
events are supported by our corporate sponsors.
