Abstract:
Applied Influence is about how to implement process improvement as an SEPG member
who has no hierarchical authority over the people that need to change. Process
improvement professionals almost always work in an environment where their success
is dependent upon the actions of hundreds or even thousands of other individuals
throughout their organization, many of whom are senior executives.
This presentation goes beyond stale broadcast slogans, blanket emails and mandated
policies to offer tactical tips and pragmatic ideas that process improvement
professionals can use to influence key change agents and stakeholders one-on-one.
Participants will leave the presentation with an assortment of easy to use and pragmatic
techniques that they can apply with their key stakeholders every day.

Bio:
Fred Jewell is the Global Director of Quality and Process Improvement at Accenture,
a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company with over
175,000 people worldwide. Fred is responsible for the deployment and take-up of
Accenture's internal quality program, methods, tools and metrics across the company's
global systems integration and technology consulting practice. Fred has held a
variety of positions during his 18 year career including all technology delivery,
methodology development, methodology deployment, offshore development center process
improvement, outsourcing delivery, global quality management and now global delivery
transformation and process improvement. Fred holds a BS and an MS in General
Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Fred, his wife,
Julie and his two children live in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
