Abstract: This presentation provides an overview on what and how to make Project Portfolio Management (PPM) effective in your organization. PPM is a key to effectively operationalizing the business IT strategies and alignment processes. IT PPM provides a tactical, bottom-up approach to leveraging the existing IT Projects and assets in the pipeline and the strategic, top-down approach that decomposes strategic business strategies and IT plans to record the priorities, timing, and metrics to achieve strategies of the organization. According to some studies PPM can directly or indirectly address half of the CIO top 10 agenda items. Thus PPM can be leveraged as a critical enabler for IT work delivery.
